Public Liability Insurance

Totally Screwed is insured by public liability insurance up to £1,000,000. This covers accidental damage or injury to third parties or their property arising from the provision of our handyman services. Evidence of insurance cover can be provided on request.

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of totallyscrewed.co.uk and your booking/engagement of handyman services from Totally Screwed ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Definitions

Client/User: The person booking our services.
Services: Handyman, repair, and related works described on our website.
Agreement: These Terms & Conditions and any quotation or service confirmation we issue.

3. Service Orders & Booking

  • All service bookings are subject to confirmation and availability.
  • A booking is only accepted once you receive written confirmation from Totally Screwed.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings.

4. Fees & Payment

  • Fees are as stated at the time of booking or estimation.
  • Payment is due as agreed and may be required upfront or on completion.
  • All payments must be made in GBP via the accepted methods listed on our site.
  • Invoices unpaid after the due date may accrue interest at 2% per month.

5. Cancellation & Cooling Off

  • You can cancel booked services within 14 calendar days of booking ("cooling-off period") per UK consumer law, unless work has already started as requested.
  • Cancellations outside the cooling-off period may incur a fee, especially for late notice or work already begun.

6. Delivery of Services

  • We will use reasonable care and skill in providing services as detailed in your booking or quotation.
  • Delays from circumstances outside our control (severe weather, illness, material supply) may occur—we will keep you informed.

7. Client Responsibilities

  • Ensure the working area is accessible and safe.
  • Notify us of any relevant hazards before work starts.
  • Secure any pets, valuables, and sensitive materials.

8. Liability

  • Totally Screwed is insured by public liability insurance up to £1,000,000 for accidental third-party injury or property damage during service delivery.
  • We are not liable for consequential losses, indirect damages, or delays beyond our reasonable control.
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific job/service.
  • This does not affect your statutory rights.

9. Warranty & Faults

  • If you discover an issue with our workmanship within 14 days of completion, please contact us for prompt resolution.
  • Materials and parts supplied are subject to manufacturer warranties where applicable.

10. Intellectual Property & Content

  • All content, logos, photos, or descriptions on our website remain the property of Totally Screwed and may not be copied without permission.
  • User-generated content (feedback/reviews) may be published at our discretion.

13. Governing Law
